Farmers’ Markets we regularly attend:
Brazos Valley Farmers’ Market:
Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the corner of Texas Ave. & William J. Bryan Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Central Park in College StationTenth Street Farmers’ Market in Navasota:
Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in downtown Navasota, TX (across from Prosperity Bank)This week (June 12th) we will feature honeydew and cantaloupe melons (come early for best selection), cucumbers (slicers, Armenian, lemon & pickles), squash (yellow, zucchini & patty pan). Our supply is becoming more limited as the season progresses (and not to mention the flooding that came with the 8″ of rain over the past week!), so you need to come out early for the best selection.
We also have lots of herbs, but don’t usually bring a lot since we only sell fresh-picked herbs and we don’t want to waste it. Any one wanting a particular herb can send an email to: csa@millicanfarms.com letting us know what you want and we will pick it fresh Saturday morning and have it available at one of the markets (let us know which market). We package our herbs in ziplock sandwich size bags (approx. 2 ounces) and sell them for $2.00 each. Below is a list of the herbs we currently have available:
Genovese basil Thai basil Citrus basil Cinnamon basil Dill Mint Cillantro Parsley Lemon grass Spearmint
